Annie
Welcome to the forum. Hopefully, someone will come along soon that can answer your question.
I know I'll be in trouble, but the guys on Downsizer may know:

Mind, when you've got the meat, this really is the place to be for advice on processing it.

I hope this helps

Piggy Area

Postby GaryP » Tue Feb 17, 2009 3:42 am

I usually keep 2 pigs on an area around a quarter acre which is also an orchard, everything is fine as long as they have ringed noses. If they start digging your quarter acre will be destroyed in very little time. After six years of keeping pigs ive worked out that they love only two things, number one food, number two escaping, electric fences or a hot wire work well.
