Storing shop bought chorizo

Postby SteveW » Wed Oct 03, 2012 2:05 pm

Hi all, I don't generally eat much chorizo and am not confident enough to make my own so I buy small amounts to cook with. For today's recipe I only need 75g but the smallest piece I could get was 225g. So my question is about storage, I expect to to finish the last 150g within a couple of weeks so can I store the remaining piece in the fridge wrapped in greaseproof paper or should I vac pack it? I know it may dry out if not vac packed but would that be a bad thing?

Thanks
Steve

I vac pack and have tried gp paper.
Vac pac lasts a lot longer

or make a chorizzo potato and onion omelette and you will start buying more and probably start making your own ,its that excellent
yet to take the plunge still researching

Thanks snags............
Doesn't matter now, had a couple of beers last night and ended finishing the lot. I'm not sure it was a good idea to join the forum after all, I think my waist line's gonna suffer
