Cheap lcd temp/humidity meter

Anyone got experience of these things, seems a decent price for a rarely used gadget. I need a humidity reader to test a friends 'dairy room' off his kitchen (c.1530) as it feels cool and damp enough for salami curing. His father used to cure sides of bacon on the stone floor so I'm guessing it will be okay.
