Yes, hope no-one minds if I put details like this up, to my minds eye the more info the better, ..when I was referring to a £120 disc cutter blade it was for a nice old Berkel, however this is where "ancient" becomes loaded as to price, something we need to separate ourselves from rationally, & nothing lasts forever, ..although a blade should last one hell of a long time cutting soft flesh ((of pig)) wear & tear needs to be looked at not glossed over.
I can take a hit over a few years for £40 & a service kit to keep a machine operational, however when prices are the equivilent of bartering with somali pirates
So in my books, the Ital Mirra range of things is looking like a feasible "home slice" brand for a hobbyist, it aint a berkel, but it's another longstanding brand with full uk parts & sales support at this moment in time whose phones were answered straight away by humans, (hear me Electrolux of Luton)!?
When & IF you need to sort something asap, that kind of assistance warrants a look in & a consideration that a prospective purchase will not become a non functioning, glared at lump of metallurgic aluminium alloy.
This is looking positive, & thanks also to Rod (in Bangkok) ..it was already on my list as a brand contender, but always useful to have someone else's angle ,..is that not exactly why we have the internet after all!?
