I'm sure everyone has noticed the amazing smell produced when granulated garlic is sprinkled over an open flame. What I'm wondering is if anyone has tried what I'm planning on trying, mixing either granulated garlic or roasted garlic cloves to the wood chips while smoking. I'm going to experiment with this as soon as I build my new smoker but I'm curious to see if it's been done, and if so, what the results were.
