Hello
I have one of these which grinds meat great, very happy so long as your ear defenders are in!! VERY NOISY..

But
The stuffing side of things is frustrating as the meat collects around the sausage plate and forces the meat through increasing small holes till the flow is slow and meat is getting mixed to a paste. I have even made my own plate which consists of nothing more than three wafer thin arms and a hole to hold the end of the screw. This provides the biggest possible area for the meat to flow through, but this even gets blocked eventually, after say 1kg of sausage meat.
pictured here at the very top.
I have tried without any stuffing plate at all so there is nothing to stop the meat and this works fantastic BUT is this causing excess wear to the machine? The meat forces the screw back into the gearing and possibly keeps it square enough not to worry about it, it does not seem to be making horrible metal on metal sounds.
SO
I am wondering, is it time to get a separate stuffer.
