Replace brisket with chuck?

I’m looking at a recipe for Texas style smoked sausage that calls for brisket. Can I substitute chuck for brisket to save a few bucks? I’ll be serving smoked brisket as an entree as well. For reference, this 5# recipe calls for 4.25# of brisket and .75# of pork.
