I am looking to start raising a few pigs either this spring or next. Looking for heritage breeds. The way I see it is if I am going to go through the effort of raising the pigs I want the end product to be as good as possible. I find the pork from modern breeds to be bland, flavorless and to lean. I was in BC last month and got to try some pork from a Gloucestershire Old Spot and was blown away.. what a difference!!
If anyone out there knows of where to get heritage weaners (GOS in particular) let me know.
